Tom and Jerry to make a grand comeback on GMA

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (TV):

Today's and yesterday's kids will have more exciting mornings as beginning on Jan. 23, Monday, GMA Network is bringing back the most popular and perhaps the longest-running rivalry in television history: Tom and Jerry!

The decade-old cartoon TV series, which was originally created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in the 1940s, is about the never-ending clash between Tom, a house cat that enjoys the privilege of being a pampered pet and his arch nemesis Jerry, a cunning mouse that, despite its size, bears the wit and strength comparable to that of the spinach-feeding Popeye! Their enmity and the crazy antics they resort to, in order to outwit each other guarantee a fun-filled viewing experience for the audience.

Considered by TIME Magazine as “one of the greatest television shows of all time,” Tom and Jerry’s slapstick-style comedy has never gone out-of-date. In fact, it continues to capture the attention of a wide demographic of audience up to this day.

Watch out for the hilarious cat-chases-mouse adventures of Tom and Jerry every weekday morning beginning January 23, 8:15am (after Unang Hirit), on GMA-7.

  1. That's a really nice comeback to GMA TV. Tom and Jerry is returning to Saturday morning! This is the first new Hanna-Barbera cartoon to reach GMA Network territory.
