Japan's Best Anime Films to be screened at HERO FACE OFF 2012

Two exclusive anime films will be screened during the HERO FACE OFF 2012, an added excitement to the annual cosplay event, attended by hundreds of anime enthusiasts all over the country.


This year, the big movie treats will be Gintama The Movie and Yugioh 3D Bonds Beyond Time that will be shown on July 7, 2012 at the SM Mega Trade Hall 1.

Gintama The Movie is the latest installment in the hugely successful animated series based on the bestselling comedy manga series, Gintama, by Hideaki Sorachi. It is Japan's most popular science fiction samurai series taken in feudal Japan during an era of alien colonization. Watch Gin, a Jack of all Trades who would take on any job just to avoid being broke.

Yugioh 3D Bonds Beyond Time, on the other hand, is set in the future where civilization is at the brink of extinction. Paradox, a man from the future returns in the past to destroy what he believes caused the world to decay – the Duel Monsters card game. Three legendary duelists, Yugi, Judei, and Yusei will team up in a duel that will stop Paradox and change the course of history.


The talented Filipino dubbers, former Goin’ Bulilit kid Alfred Labatos, Leslie Paraboles and Jenny Bituin will bring Gintama the Movie to life while famous voice actors Jefferson Utanes will be Yugi Moto, Louie Paraboles will be Judei Yuki and Ryan Bondoc will be Yusei Fudo in the film, Yugioh. Dubbing directors Lawrence John Maylas and Carlo Jan Landrito will share their experiences and the challenges they faced during their dubbing sessions.

Yugioh enthusiasts will also meet the Yugioh team Philippines who will represent the country in the upcoming international Yugioh Competition.

Catch the films and the biggest cosplay event, HERO FACE OFF 2012 on July 7, 2012 (Saturday) at SM Megatrade Hall 1. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and the program starts at 2:00 p.m.
