Child star Mona Louise Rey and wonder dog Anghel topbill GMA Network's ASO NI SAN ROQUE

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (TV):

In the tradition of producing innovative and quality telefantasyas, GMA Network launches its newest series about a little girl who is gifted with a power to fulfill a prophecy and to transform the lives of the people she meets via Aso ni San Roque. It will air beginning September 10 right after 24 Oras.

After making audiences cry during her stint in GMA's top-rating teledrama, Munting Heredera and Luna Blanca, Mona Louise Rey is back on primetime to portray the role of Fatima --a blind girl with a good heart, who is the daughter of a mortal man to a mythical creature called “manananggal.” Behind Fatima's persona is a prophecy that is said to end the life of all evil creatures on earth.
Joining Mona in her magical adventures is Anghel, a golden retriever who will guide her through her quests and battles to defeat the evil forces.

In the story, Fatima was separated from her parents at a very young age. An old gay man named Mother Ben, who happens to be under the control of a gang, took Fatima under his care. From then on, Mother Ben became the sole protector of Fatima. He uses Fatima's disability to help her escape all the hardships and mischief brought about by the cruel gang members.

As Fatima reaches the age of 7, the search for her intensifies as witches, centaurs, mermaids and other creatures join forces to prevent Fatima from fulfilling the prophecy.

Up to what point can Mother Ben protect Fatima from the gang men? And will he still be able to guard Fatima against the evil creatures lurking to kill the girl who is said to end all evil creatures on earth?

Adding enchantment to the series are talented television actors and actresses including Nova Villa as Ofelia, Pen Medina as Mother Ben; TJ Trinidad as Mateo, LJ Reyes as Lourdes; Buboy Garovillo as Noah; Rich Asuncion as Bernice; Gardo Versoza as Kanlaon; Paolo Contis as Sento; Angelika dela Cruz as Bulan; Gwen Zamora as Anaira; and Mr. Eddie Garcia as Supremo.

Aso ni San Roque is from an original concept of Jun Rodolfo Lana and under the helm of Director Don Michael Perez. Creative Team composed of Creative Head for Primetime, Jake Tordesillas; Creative Consultant Dode Cruz; Headwriter Denoy Navarro; Writers Jules Katanyag, Des Garbes-Severino & Ronalean Sales and Brainstormers Ken De Leon, Borgy Danao & Jason Lim.
