New Line Cinema's HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 begins filming

According to a recent survey by Skyscanner, a leading global travel search site, 54% of Filipinos have flown with long distance transmerdian flights. This often results to desynchronisis or what is commonly known as jet lag, which results to poor sleep upon arrival, poorer mental performance and increased fatigue.

“In an ideal world, to prevent jetlag we should begin taking on the habits of destination time zone before we leave home,” says Tony Gherardin of National Medical Adviser at the Travel Doctor – TMC. “That is, eating at the same time and sleeping or resting at the same time as what you would be doing at that destination. Of course this isn’t always possible at home or even while flying.”

Robert De Niro is one of the most celebrated screen actors of all time. He continues to expand his boundless range with performances spanning from comic to serious and everything in between. Robert De Niro is back to his gangster ways starring in films like Goodfellas, Casino, The Untouchables, Once Upon Time in America and The Godfather II, De Niro has proven time and time again that he is at home in gangster genre. And while he’s starred in a few bad titles over the last few years, it’s always good to see him come back home, and that sentiment can now be extended to Luc Besson’s new crime comedy-thriller ‘The Family’ (aka Malavita).

Based on the book “Badfellas” by Tonino Benacquista, The Family centers on the Manzino family, a mafia clan that has to go onto witness protection when the patriarch , Giovanni (De Niro), testifies against his associates. De Niro says he was attracted to the film’s humour and original point of view. “It’s an unusual take on the mobster genre with a novel storyline,” he says. “My character was a crime boss in New York, but he turned in his whole crew. When he entered the Witness Protection Program with his family, they were sent to France, but every place they have been resettled, they end up in hot water. Now they are in the middle of nowhere and it might as well be Mars. The situation can seem a bit surreal, but the character is very real and relatable.”

Skyscanner reveals airline passengers want to use their mobile gadgets during flight!

A survey by leading global travel search site Skyscanner has found that 61% of flyers want to use their mobile devices in-flight while 33% immediately turn on their phones as soon as they touch down.

“These findings are based on a study conducted on behalf of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by the Aviation Rulemaking Committee which revealed that the ban on the use of portable electronic devices (PEDs) such as smartphones and laptops could be set to end, after a US scientific study found no reason why they should be turned off during take-off and landing,” says Janet Ranola, Philippine Marketing Manager for Skyscanner. “Also, other PEDs, like tablets can be used safely while a plane is taxiing, taking off, landing and while at a cursing altitude.”

Often times, I hear my massage therapist saying "angdami mong lamig".  And since I'm usually half-sleep while undergoing the therapy, I often ignore that remark.  I thought it was just a way for them to show the "science" or "relevance" of massage.  So I just let them talk while I just savor the hand strokes at my back because with or without science, and with all the stress, I will always avail of spa services.

I was one of the lucky people to learn about the evolution of Trumpets' The Bluebird of Happiness, from the concept stage, to its press preview, to its gala night and actual run.  At first, I was thinking how Trumpets can transform this material into something exciting for the Filipino audience.  How can the journey of two kids be able to bring life to the musical?

The Bluebird of Happiness tells the story of two poor children, Mytyl and Tyltyl who go on a magical adventure in mysterious lands, meeting fantastical characters as they try to find the bluebird of happiness that will make their life happier. Career. Blogging. Socials. Church.  Family.  Hobby.  And the list goes on and on...  Sometimes I wish if there's just 8 days in a week so we'll have 3 days in a weekend or 3 perhaps 6 hours in a day so we'll have more hours for sleeping, but I guess Santa just grants kids' wishes only! :)

We want to do everything but we also need to strike a balance, and we all need the help we can get!   So in order for one to keep up living in the fast lane, we must find a way to make our energy last. Good food, exercise and of course, vitamins!  It's really inevitable to be unstoppable!
