Broadway Hits in One Fun Musical -- FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Theater Review

Annie. Phantom of the Opera. Les Miserables. Cats. Rent. If you love theater, I bet you know these titles and would want to see these masterpieces over and over again. But do you know that you can watch all of them plus a lot more in just one sitting, in just one play? Yes, you're reading this right. It's possible, well, you may look at it that way, through Forbidden Broadway, New York's smash-hit musical revue!
Forbidden Broadway is a hilarious spoof of popular Broadway musicals such as the titles mentioned above. And with that, the play brings us back to our well loved plays through the years, but in a different way... in a funny, outrageous way! This is what I witnessed at the press preview of Forbidden Broadway at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza. The play was directed by Joel Trinidad (from the hit monologue "Caveman") and produced by Upstart Productions (same team that brought us the successful Breakups & Breakdowns and Crush Hour).

Columbia Pictures has just announced that The Amazing Spider-Man will now open in the Philippines on Friday, June 29, 2012. That's a five-day margin ahead of the film's original release date in Manila, US and North America which was supposedly July 4.
One of the world’s most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man. Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. For Baker, working on the Men In Black movies is especially fulfilling because the films inevitably require him to design in so many different ways: “Some films are straight makeup – say, we’ll do age makeup. Others will call for fake bodies or heads. Others, we’ll make animatronic characters and puppets. The Men In Black movies involve all of those things – and I got to design for the computer-generated stuff as well. We ended up making about a hundred aliens for this movie, and you could have made a whole story about any one of them.”

The Art and Science of "Letting Go"... Tokyo's Hi-Tech Toilets!

Warning: if you are eating, don't read this anymore or better yet, drop your food now! :D
Food blogging is such an enjoyable activity because we savor the taste of the food we eat and share it with the rest. But while eating is such a fun thing to do, don't you think "moving" or "letting go" is an equally refreshing experience? :D Di ba, iba yung feeling once you let it go? LOL :D So shouldn't there be another niche in blogging that deals on the last part of the digestive process? :D
Well, this blog post is really not actually about pooping. This is about my Treasure Hunt in Japan and the marvelous thing that I found. And that is Tokyo's hi-tech toilets! :)
Well, I know, you may ask, why the hell am I blogging about toilets! Haha, don't click away, let me explain first. Don't you think having a good toilet is an essential aspect in traveling? As much as we enjoy the places we go to and eat the most delicious food in town we visit, we also need that amenity for our bathroom break that will keep us moving. And I was fascinated to discover these hi-tech toilets!
I first encountered this in Hotel Shinagawa where we spent our first few days in Tokyo. I was amused that right after that "ceremony" I won't need a toilet paper (or water and soap), as I just needed to press a button to clean you know what. :) It sprays water in different ways depending on how you want it! At Hotel Sakura, our second home in Tokyo, an added option is available. This time, it can be like sprinkle or shower or bazooka shots hahaha. Some of my colleagues were even surprised when they tried the hi-tech toilet for the first time. Others on the other hand joked that they stayed longer in the comfort room because they enjoyed the water splash hahaha. Anyway, we were also able to adjust the temperature of the water. And since we were there at winter time, the warmer of the bowl, as it touches the thighs, is very relieving. So right after moving, you just need that tissue paper and you're done.
