New SPIDER-MAN to be digitally re-mastered into immersive IMAX 3D format!

Spider-Man, one of the world’s most beloved superheroes, will once again come to IMAX® Theatres for a network-wide event run when the film is released in theaters on its new worldwide date on July 7, 2017, it was announced today by Josh Greenstein, president of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Sony Pictures, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, and Greg Foster, Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment.


As the movie, which Sony Pictures Entertainment is teaming with Marvel Studios to produce, enters wide release, it will also be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format. The highly anticipated next installment in the $4 billion franchise, which will star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, will be directed by Jon Watts and produced by Feige and Amy Pascal.

BLINK app launched via free Movie Weekend Festival!

Gerard Butler is God of Darkness in GODS OF EGYPT

Young adult flick THE 5TH WAVE takes the battle from book to the big screen

A powerhouse cast led by ChloĆ« Grace Moretz (“If I Stay”), Nick Robinson (Jurassic World”), Ron Livingston (“The Conjuring”), Alex Roe (upcoming “Rings”), and Liev Schreiber (“Salt”) stars in Columbia Pictures’ adaptation of Rick Yancey’s bestselling novel “The 5th Wave,” the first book in his planned trilogy.


In the film, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.

“This isn’t what we signed up for.” Zero communication, no sun. Forced to exit the ship, they discover that this mission is much more real than it appears and may not have been a simulation after all.
