YA-MI!:
I bet you've heard a lot of good stuff about Japanese restaurant Sumo Sam but things got even better as it recently opened its 25th and biggest store at Oympia building along Makati Avenue (beside Manila Peninsula). And all I can say is it's one giant leap!
The launch was filled with good ambiance, good music, good friends and of course, good food! Celebrity entrepreneur Marvin Agustin, who is one of the owners of the Japanese restaurant chain, kicked off the launch by cutting the giant maki!
And of course, I have a piece! :)
Sumo Sam Olympia is the restaurant's biggest location to date with about 300 sqm of dining space. The setup is also a bit of a departure from the fast casual dining restaurant the Sumo Sam usually offers.
"The look of our restaurants depends on its location and what our guests ask for. For a time now, we've always wanted to have a bigger space to accommodate our guests' requests to celebrate with a larger group in the restaurant and now they finally can," Sumo Sam general manager Adolf Aran Jr. says.
Most exciting about this location is the offering of daily buffet for only PhP 499 per person for lunch and dinner! And the it includes salads, their best selling sushi, hot ramen, delicious desserts and above all, my personal favorite, their delectable unlimited tempura!
Of course, for those who prefer ala carte, all the best sellers like the
Ebi Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki and Spicy Tuna Salad and Seafood Yakisoba
can be ordered.
New on the menu and just in time for summer, Sumo Sam has started to offer refreshing ice pops with flavors such as green tea, choco banana, pistachio, red bean and black sesame.
"This is truly a wine and dine collection for all times," Aran said. With a carefully selected wine list, cocktail drinks that are especially concocted for Sumo Sam and a late bar menu, guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the posh interiors till late night.
The new branch also serves breakfast for those who want a delicious and
healthy start of the day. And for those who want to enjoy at their
office or at their home, delivery service is offered.
For TaDi, what impressed me a lot about the new Sumo Sam is the fusion of Japanese cuisine and the bar feel. After a good and healthy dinner, my friends and I don't need to go somewhere else for a round of drinks. It's all here in Sumo Sam Olympia.
For reservations, deliveries and event inquiries on Sumo Sam Olympia, you may call 0917 706 7328.
That has been the TaDi way, have a Ya-Mi day! :)
