Ultimate Pizza High in Project Pie!

TADILICIOUS!

Pizza!  I must admit, even though I'm a nationalist when it comes to our country's culture and heritage, food included, I'm a big pizza fan!  Why?   There could be 3 reasons:
1. Party Food - Yes, you can never go wrong with pizza.  Match it with cola or beer and fried chicken, it will already be one hell of a parteh!
2. Watch Match - Popcorn is old school.  For me, pizza makes watching more fun, whether it's a movie, a championship match or a TV show season ender or premiere!
3. Comfort Food - Tired of cooking?  Tired of going out?  Pizza saves the day!

But pizza houses and brands pop out every now and then.  Sometimes the only differentiating factor is either the size or the price.  But there's one pizza house that changed the rules!  And that's the Project Pie!

Design.  Build.  And Eat.  That's what Project Pie is all about.  And with Kolokoys Rey Belen of Lifestyle Bucket and Richard Mamuyac of Astig Machisms, we checked this newest talk of the town!  (Unfortunately, we were not complete as Chuckie Dreyfus of All Chucked Up was in a TV shoot.)

We visited the store across Shaw Boulevard.  And even before I enter the place, I could say, I'm already impressed!  And when we finally got inside the pizza place, jaw dropping became  a habit that night!  Hehe.

The place, which somehow resembles the diners look,  is cozy, perfect for meet-ups and hang-outs with family and friends.  To add, you will enjoy reading the quotes from anonymous and famous personalities painted on the walls of Project Pie!  Some of the quotes are:
"Be kind to unkind people.  They need it the most!" - Anonymous
"I don't fear failure.  I fear succeeding at something that doesn't matter." - Dan Erickson

Project Pie Philippines People Development and Brand Marketing Head Jill Ilagan introduced the brand and oriented us on what to expect and how to create our own pizza the Project Pie style!  Described as "everyday artisan pizza custom built by you", Project Pie is the first of its kind.  At Project Pie, customers are encouraged to design their own pizza (one just needs to instruct the very cheerful crew called as pizza partners) for one set price.

You can choose from an array of 29 toppings to create your pizza.  Or you can choose from Project Pie's seven signature bestsellers.  They are:
  1. Classic Cheese Pie (the only pizza priced at PhP 245)
  2. Project Pie Signature Red Sauce, Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, Garlic, Crumbled Meatballs
  3. Tomato, Artichoke, Red Onion, Pesto, Feta, Mozzarella
  4. Sliced Tomatoes, Fresh Chopped Basil, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Garlic
  5. Mozzarella, Ricotta, Gorgonzolla, Parmesan, Cracked Black Pepper, Olive Oil, Garlic, Fresh Chopped Basil
  6. Grilled Chicken, Sliced Red Onion, Cilantro, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, BBQ Sauce
  7. Prosciutto, Caramelized Onions. Mozzarella, Parmesa
Served Neapolitan style with a toasty 9 1/2 thing crust, Project Pie pizzas are light in the eye but heavy in the tummy!

Other choice ingredients include grilled chicken, crumbled meatballs, Canadian bacon, ricotta, feta, gorgonzola cheese, pineapple, cilantro, freshly chopped basil, roasted red peppers, and many more. All ingredients are fresh and, when possible, sourced from sustainable and organic farms. So whether you’re dreaming of a heavenly mash-up of five kinds of cheese or a fiery mouthful of meat-loving madness, the pizza you’ve been aching to try all your life is now possible at the set price of Php285.00 (except for the Classic Cheese Pie)

With Project Pie’s 800-degree oven, pizzas are baked to perfection in about 2 minutes and served fresh out of the oven. At Project Pie, there’s no such thing as cold pizza!

So who's really hot here?  haha

Afterwards, the Kolokoys lined-up and tried to design our own pizza!  Mine, named "pizza ala foydi" is divided into red and white sauce, and mix and match of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mozzarella, mushroom, among others.  And my verdict for pizza ala foydi, of course, it's TaDilicious!  :P

For dessert, we tried the heavenly banana nutella pizza which is just PhP 145!  And I just completely forgot my name!  Haha

Founder and CEO James Markham, hailed as the innovator of the wildly successful fast casual made-on-demand pizza segment, was inspired to do for pizza what popular American food chain, Chipotle Mexican Grill, did for healthy eating. “Pizza is universal. I wanted to be able to do something with a very fast cook time, with a flavor profile that everyone likes” said Markham. After its wild success in Las Vegas, San Diego, and Colorado, Project Pie is now ready to branch out and start firing up the taste buds of Manhattan, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and the Philippines.

Indeed, our visit at Project Pie gave us the Ultimate Pizza High!  We'll definitely go back and try new flavors!  :)

You can check out Project Pie at Pioneer at 515 Shaw along Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City, open from 10am to 10pm daily or at Bluebay Walk, along EDSA-Macapagal, Pasay.  For more information, visit www.projectpie.com or contact Project Pie 515 Shaw at (632) 650 0925.

Jill Ilagan of Project Pie did the TaDi Pose!!! :)

And with that, Project Pie is now TaDified!
And that's the foydi way!  :)
