WWF's Earth Hour 2014 broke all records of participation in its eighth year, as Spider-Man joined millions of everyday Super Heroes from across the planet in the world's largest celebration for the Earth.

 The event which has evolved into history’s largest environmental movement began its journey across more than 162 countries and territories from New Zealand, sweeping across Asia with Spider-Man and the cast from the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, including Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx, sending a message to the world that anyone can be a Super Hero for the Planet.

Chris Evans reprises his role as the iconic Super Hero Steve Rogers in Marvel's “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

“In this film a good amount of time has passed since the events with The Avengers, so Steve Rogers has had time to process what has happened to him,” says director Anthony Russo. “As the world’s greatest soldier, Cap moves on from the U.S. Army and goes to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., which creates a conflict in him because S.H.I.E.L.D. is a complicated spy organization that deals in grays and clandestine motivation, and that’s not who Cap really is.”

MALEFICENT unleashes new posters

Walt Disney Pictures has just revealed two new one-sheet art (domestic and international) for its fantasy adventure “Maleficent” starring Angelina Jolie.

Featured below, the domestic poster shows Jolie hypnotically staring into the viewer as the title character's iconic horns beautifully cut the solid white background. Meanwhile, the international version features an image of Sleeping Beauty in addition to Maleficent.

AirAsia Zest increases flights to South Korea and Taiwan

AirAsia Zest, the Filipino Low Cost Carrier that flies hand in hand with AirAsia, voted the World’s Best Low Cost Carrier for five consecutive years, will increase frequency for Manila – Incheon route to twice daily in response to the growth in traffic between Philippines and South Korea.

Starting 1st May 2014, AirAsia Zest's Manila-Incheon services will increase from once to twice daily while new direct flights between Kalibo (Boracay) and Taipei will operate daily beginning 15th April 2014.

National Geographic Channel (NGC) and FOX will be featuring a fantastic new series in March 2014 that will change the way human beings think of astronomical events and our place in the universe.

Leslie Mann’s impeccable timing and improv skills will soon be seen in the upcoming comedy movies “Mr. Peabody & Sherman, “Rio 2”” and in “The Other Woman.”

In DreamWorks Animation’s “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” Mann is the voice of Patty, parent to Sherman’s friend Penny where they set foot in Peabody’s home to settle the brawl that happened between their children. Director Rob Minkoff was thrilled to be working with comedy actress Leslie Mann, “Leslie has incredible charm and a great and unexpected attitude in her voice,” he says.

Sullivan Stapleton plays Athenian general Themistokles in 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE

No “300” film is complete without a small group of protagonists facing impossible odds and a strong uniting figure to lead them into battle. In Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “300: Rise of an Empire,” that hero is Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton (HBO’s “Strike Back”) playing the Athenian general Themistokles, who is driven to defend Greece against the powerful Persian Navy.

Previously seen on the big screen with supporting roles in “Gangster Squad,” “Animal Kingdom” and “December Boys,” Stapleton is poised to become a newly-minted leading man, thanks to “300: Rise of an Empire.”

This is definitely a good news for movie buffs like me! Another Director's Club Cinema and IMAX Theatre have opened in the Metro!

SM Cinema, the largest cinema exhibitor in the country to date, recently unveiled a Director’s Club Cinema and an IMAX Theatre in the newest expansion of SM Megamall in Ortigas—the Mega Fashion Hall. The Mega Fashion Hall—a high-end wing which will house trendy, global brands from food to retail--will make an apt location for Director’s Club Cinema and IMAX Theatre; the two cinemas boast of sophisticated and world-class facility and service.  The new Robocop movie was screened during the launch of these high end cinemas.

WWF Singapore and Earth Hour Global today announced the director, producers, and cast of the highly anticipated upcoming motion picture The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be coming to Singapore to celebrate this year’s global flagship event for Earth Hour, the world’s largest environmental grassroots movement, to be held at The Float@Marina Bay on Saturday March 29 at 8:30PM.

Finally, the long wait is over!  The first trailer of Michael Bay's fourth "Transformers" film, called “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” has arrived!

Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Kelsey Grammar and Sophia Myles lead the cast of this $165 million feature set for release in the Philippines June this year.

Synopsis: Four years after the catastrophic events in Chicago, Earth has mostly recovered from the great war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. But when Cade Yeager (Wahlberg), a struggling inventor, and his daughter, Tessa (Peltz) discover Optimus Prime, they bring down Decepticons, Autobots and the US government on them.

If you thought you knew everything there is to know about newly-minted Mentos endorser Matteo Guidicelli, then think again. Sure, we've all watched him grow into one of the most exciting young leading men around, but there's so much more to this crush-worthy guy than meets the eye. For example, you'd be surprised that he and Oscar winning actress Whoopi Goldberg share a connection. Well...sort of.

“I sang in a black gospel choir. It was an unforgettable experience. Singing in different churches in South Side, Chicago was life-changing. It felt magical,” the half-Italian hottie shared with us. Alright, so maybe the whole Whoopi/Sister Act 2 connection is a bit of a stretch. Still, it's one of those fun facts that spell out just how f-r-e-s-h this h-u-n-k can be. “I like being adventurous, trying out new things, and just going all out.” While it's no secret that the 23-year-old has always been the athletic type, he admits that the kick he gets from triathlons is just one of the craziest things he craves. “Training non-stop and racing in Hawaii for the world championships. That, I would say, was over the top.”

Tamaraw Conservation Efforts Highlighted in the 1st World Wildlife Day Celebration

World Wildlife Day is an opportunity for the international community to celebrate the globe's wild plant and animal life while redoubling efforts to protect them. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) welcomes recent achievements to safeguard wildlife, laments the losses and looks toward a future in which people can truly live in harmony with nature.

The United Nations General Assembly set aside March 3 to raise awareness of the intrinsic value of wildlife and its contributions to sustainable development and human well-being. The day, which marks the signing of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in 1973, is also being used to underscore the need to fight wildlife crime.
