As the year comes to a close, SM Cinema patrons will be treated to a wide range of movies with local and international flavors featuring Filipino films MY PARANORMAL ROMANCE and SUPREMO, Japanese motion picture RUROUNI KENSHIN: SAMURAI X, Bollywood flicks JAB TAK HAI JAAN and TALAASH, and American movies HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET and THE BAY that are available exclusively at your favourite SM Cinemas.


A must-see this November is the Indian movie, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Starting November 21, Bollywood lovers will get to watch this highly anticipated romantic Bollywood movie, directed by one of India’s most prolific and experienced director, Yash Chopra. While on November 28, My Paranormal Romance will be shown exclusively at SM City Cebu and Consolacion.

Come December, 4 exciting movies with international flavors will close off 2012 namely local movie, Supremo, English movies House at the End of the Street and The Bay, the highly anticipated Japanese movie Rurouni Kenshin: Samurai X, and Indian thriller movie, Talaash.

On December 5, let SM Cinema take you back in time in 1986 before the dawn of Philippine Independence in the movie, Supremo. This movie, directed by Richard Somes, is a biopic of Andres Bonifacio (Alfred Vargas) as it chronicles his struggles and challenges as the supreme leader of the rebel movement, the Katipunan as they fight to liberate the country from the Spaniards.

Also opening on that date is the live action movie of the popular anime, Rurouni Kenshin: Samurai X. Set in the early days of the Meiji Restoration, the film narrates the adventures of Kenshin Himura, a peace- loving samurai who is constantly haunted by his bloody past. Starring Japanese actor, Sato Takeru as the iconic Kenshin, Manga and Anime enthusiasts will surely enjoy this movie and as this would take them back to their childhood during which the original animated series was shown.

Another movie that opens on December 5 is the thriller movie, the House at the End of the Street. This horror-thriller film tells the story of a mother and daughter who moved to the house of their dreams in an upscale town, but when they start uncovering their town’s chilling secrets, they race against the clock to stay alive or else end up in their graves. This movie features Jennifer Lawrence who played Katniss Everdeen of the 2012 Summer Blockbuster movie, the Hunger Games.

In the Indian movie, Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, fans take on adrenalin-pumping adventures with Inspector Shekhawat, whose son has died in a fatal accident that also killed a rising Bollywood star. However as he Digs deeper into the case, he finds himself entangled in a web of mystery. The cast includes Aamir Khan who also starred in the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India, 3 Idiots, and Karena Kapoor, the award-winning Indian actress who was also Khan’s co-star in the said film. The movie opens on December 12.

Closing the SM CinExclusives for 2012 is the movie, The Bay. In this movie, a reporter gives light to an eerie event that claimed over 700 human lives - a mysterious parasitic outbreak that happened in the quaint seaside town of Claridge, Maryland three years ago. The Bay opens on December 19 and features Kristen Connolly, Jane McNeill and Christopher Denham.
