Brace yourselves for the return of GODZILLA!!!

POTATO ON THE GO NEWS FEED (Movie):

For the filmmakers overseeing the complex production of the epic, action adventure “Godzilla,” there was perhaps nothing more challenging or exhilarating than the creation of its title character.

"Toho had given us their blessing to re-envision the character, but it was equally important to us as well as Toho that Godzilla look like Godzilla,” producer Thomas Tull says. “We wanted to bring him into contemporary reality while not steering too far from the classic silhouette that so many of us grew up with, and [director] Gareth Edwards and the entire team walked that line with passion and inspiration.”

POTATO ON THE GO NEWS FEED (Movie):

In a record-breaking year, Warner Bros. Pictures emerged as the top-grossing studio for 2013, ranking number one in domestic, international and worldwide market shares. The Studio took in an estimated combined global box office gross of $5.035 billion, setting a new Warner Bros. benchmark and becoming only the second studio ever to cross the $5 billion threshold. It also marked the fifth consecutive year Warner Bros. has surpassed $4 billion worldwide, which is an industry record. Globally, the Studio has now ranked #1 or #2 in nine of the past ten years, also an industry record.

The Studio took in an estimated $1.895 billion at the domestic box office, with eight films crossing $100 million, including three that went on to gross more than $200 million. At the international box office, Warner Bros. set a new Studio record of $3.14 billion, marking the fourth consecutive year—and the sixth year overall—that it has earned more than $2 billion. In addition, two of those films took in more than $300 million, and two more crossed the $400 million mark.

GODZILLA Returns in May 2014!

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (Movie):

Godzilla is one of the Japanese creations that fascinated me since childhood.  And when its Hollywood version hit the theaters in 1998, it became my instant favorite.  Now, I got excited once more as Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have slated their take on the classic Godzilla franchise to kick off the Summer movie going season on May 16, 2014.

The joint announcement was made recently by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures, and by Legendary Pictures.
