In September 2011, moviegoers were introduced to Winter, the dolphin whose astounding true story was dramatized in the family film “Dolphin Tale.” She had already been something of a local celebrity at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), the non-profit marine animal rescue facility on the Gulf Coast of Florida. After the release of the movie, however, her fame grew exponentially, as did her impact on CMA, as well as on people the world over who were inspired by her courage and resilience.
Charles Martin Smith, the director of the original film, who returned to write and direct the sequel, Warner Bros.' new family adventure “Dolphin Tale 2,” offers, “I think it was a combination of factors that caused ‘Dolphin Tale’ to resonate with audiences. The idea that a dolphin could have so desperate an injury and lose her tail, and that a team of strangers would rally around her to save her with a first-of-its-kind prosthetic, was so improbable and yet it’s true. And Winter’s own spirit moved people so deeply. So many have come up to me and said how affected they were by the film. I thought we would touch people with ‘Dolphin Tale’; I didn’t realize how much. It has been truly gratifying.”
Finally, after the long wait, we can now witness the story of "Dolphin Tale in 3D" in theaters! Well, it has been a while since we saw a family movie of this kind but I guess the long wait is worth it as Dolphin Tale, as the trailer already suggested, is one awesome story to watch out for!

In this challenging and desperate times, people are in dire need of things that could inspire them, give them hope and help them hold on to their faith. I know this is really quite an enormous challenge because as you know, we live in a fast paced, stressful and anti-social life. And besides, there are just to many bad stories that flood our media, both mainstream and digital, so a feel good movie such as this is indeed most welcome.
When I was young, I often heard stories that dolphins are more intelligent than our canine friends. And if humans are living in water, dolphins will be our bestfriend instead. I even heard tales that dolphins guide lost fishermen from the open sea back to the shore. =) And I also learned that dolphin encounters are used for therapy of people suffering from depression or emotional trauma. Well, while they are that friendly to humans, there should be no competition at all. Dogs share the same fantastic traits. Dogs could be man’s bestfriend on ground while dolphins could be for underwater! Don’t you think? =)
Anyway, I’ve always been fascinated with these sea creatures. And when I first saw the trailer of the movie Dolphin Tale, I was mesmerized instantly, not just it’s because about dolphins, but I think it’s a one of a kind feel good story.
