There are 3 reputable international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that I'm happy and honored to have worked with: WWF (Earth Hour, Bright Skies program with Cebu Pacific, Tamaraw Conservation, Risk Assessment with BPI, Coral Triangle Week, Tubbataha 25th Anniversary), UNICEF (Champions for Children, Flash Appeal for Typhoon Ondoy Victims, Global Handwashing Day) and WORLD VISION (Celebrities for Children - Race for Hope, Disaster Response with KakaoTalk, Kabisig sa Tubig with P&G).  I've always believed in their causes and have supported them whenever I can.

Just last week, my team and I helped mount the 2015 Earth Hour switch-off event led by WWF.  And now, I'm happy to witness the collaboration of WORLD VISION with Zonrox through FleishmanHillard.

World Visions holds Run "Towards Fullness of Life"

You run to stay fit. You run for fun. This time, run for a cause --- run “Towards Fullness of Life!” Join the very first World Vision Run on June 24 at the Bonifacio Global City.  The Run is for the benefit of poor Filipino children.

Funds raised will support children in communities assisted by World Vision. Through its Child Sponsorship program, World Vision provides education, healthcare, child protection, and community assistance to children and their families in need.

World Vision to hold the 3rd "Flying High" Graduation Celebration -- 50 Honor Graduates to be Recognized!

Living in gruelling poverty, the odds that these 50 children will ever get to school let alone graduate were almost impossible. But thanks to caring Filipinos who helped sponsor the education of these children, they were not only able to study in school but they are now graduating top of their class!

On March 30, World Vision will hold the 3rd “Flying High” Graduation Celebration to recognize 50 top honor graduates from its assisted communities. Proof that with hard work and determination anything is possible.

The very first “Flying High” celebration was graced by World Vision Ambassadors Nikki Gil and Lea Salonga to recognize graduates from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Last year, the event was attended by youth achievers from Jollibee’s Yumbassador program.

This year, a list of special guests will share their own stories of ‘success amid poverty’, and how through hard work and determination they are now living their dreams!

The sponsors of these 50 graduates will also be present to witness this special occasion with the children they are supporting through school.

They say we have the longest Christmas here in the Philippines.  Well, I definitely agree.  In fact, when the ber months arrive, it's not only the decors nor the shopping spree that comes into my mind (no not the bonus, I hate getting frustrated hehe), but the start of the sticker collection from coffee shops and the corresponding free journal!  Well, to be honest, in the past, I never bothered to have one from any of the coffee shops, primarily because I don't easily follow fads and be part of the snowball, and I want a journal that is not commonly owned by many.  But since I drink coffee often, then I told myself, why not get the free journal as well!  Haha =D  So the hunt during the Christmas season began!

Well, recently I got an invite from World Vision and Seattle's Best for the unveiling of their new partnership and the Christmas project they have in store for all of us.  And that changed my perspective in getting the free journal during the Christmas season. 

Both the best in their respective fields, Seattle’s Best Coffee Philippines and World Vision have joined together to provide children a chance to be the best they can be as well. Similar to its past holiday promotions, customers will receive stickers when they purchase one of Seattle’s Best Coffee’s new holiday or classic drinks starting October 22, 2011 to January 22, 2012. When a total of 18 stickers are collected, customers present their completed “dream card” and redeem a leather journal loaded with, amongst other things: free music, goodies, food and drinks coupons, and up to 24 hours worth of free wifi at selected Seattle’s Best Coffee shop.
