After Ghost Protocol and The Avengers, Jeremy Renner Now Stars in THE BOURNE LEGACY (Opens August 8)

P.O.T.G. BULLETIN (Movie):

After Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and The Avengers, two-time Academy Award® nominee JEREMY RENNER, a performer as comfortable with drama as he is with action, stars in Universal Pictures “The Bourne Legacy”.   He plays Aaron Cross, one of the six agents in a program called Outcome.

Unlike the CIA’s Treadstone, Outcome agents have been developed and trained for use by the Department of Defense. More than assassins, Outcome agents are designed for use in isolated, high-risk, long-term intelligence assignments. The behavioral science that was suggested as the underpinning of the Treadstone agents has been upgraded and advanced, but it’s the shared origins of these two programs that makes Outcome so vulnerable as Bourne’s story becomes public knowledge.

Edward Norton plays Byer in THE BOURNE LEGACY

P.O.T.G. BULLETIN (Movie):

As we wait for the screening of one of the most anticipated movies of the year THE BOURNE LEGACY, let's get to know the cast and their characters one by one.  For now, let me share with you a Q&A with Edward Norton shared by Solar Entertainment - United International Pictures.

Edward Norton plays the role of Ret. Col. Ric Byer in “The Bourne Legacy".  The movie is directed by the same Tony Gilroy who wrote the screenplays for the previous films, “The Bourne Identity,” “The Bourne Supremacy,” and “The Bourne Ultimatum,” all based on the universe created by the writer Robert Ludlum. The actor does not like to call his character a villain, preferring to say that he is, with the agent Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) and scientist Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz), a piece of the intricate and morally complicated puzzle involving the government, corporations and scientists. In Rio for the Rio +20 environment conference, he talked about the film, his interest in sustainable development, and the miniseries “Undaunted Courage,” based on the book by Stephen Ambrose that he is producing with Brad Pitt for television.

THE DICTATOR to conquer the world on July 25!

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (Movie):

Sacha Baron Cohen, Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe winning writer/performer and creator of such indelible characters as Ali G, Borat and Brüno, now steps into the autocratic and very shiny shoes of General Admiral Haffaz Aladeen, a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy will never come to the country he so lovingly oppresses, in The Dictator.

Oil rich and isolated, the North African state of Wadiya has been ruled by the vehemently anti-West Aladeen since he was six, when he was named Supreme Leader after the unfortunate death of his father, sadly killed in a hunting accident – hit by 97 stray bullets and a hand grenade.

Meet a different Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (Movie):

We all grew up with the fairy tale of Snow White but soon we'll see her in a different light as Universal Pictures presents an adult and darker version of the said classic story.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen Oscar® winner Charlize Theron out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman Chris Hemsworth (Thor and The Avengers) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

American Pie : Reunion (Uncut) to drive us crazy starting May 2

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (Movie):

American Pie has been one of my time's signature movies.  And it's not the usual coming of age film we know.  It shocked the whole world then and it's ready to drive us crazy once more as it holds its upcoming reunion movie!  :)

Welcome to the reunion of the Class of 1999 from East Great Falls High. In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago return for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship.

It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim (JASON BIGGS) and Michelle (ALYSON HANNIGAN) married while Kevin (THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS) and Vicky (TARA REID) said goodbye. Oz (CHRIS KLEIN) and Heather (MENA SUVARI) grew apart, but Finch (EDDIE KAY THOMAS) still longs for Stifler’s Mom (JENNIFER COOLIDGE). And Stifler (SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT) remains the same as he ever was. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens they were.

Universal Pictures presents game-to-film epic BATTLESHIP

POTATO ON THE GO BULLETIN (Movie):

For a mainstream movie fan, movies about the battle between humans and aliens has been an all-time favorite.  It never stops to sizzle and fascinate the imagination of the viewers.  But when was the last time you saw a movie that features a large scale war between humans and aliens?  It's been a while right?  But Universal Pictures has a  good news for all the movie fans out there!

On April 12 2012, the battle for Earth begins at sea. Peter Berg directs and produces Battleship, an epic-scale action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. After the blockbuster success of the toys-to-films Transformers and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Hasbro reviewed the catalogue and focused on “Battleship” as its first game-to-film. Still, the company knew it wouldn’t move forward until a crucial dilemma was resolved: how to logically transfigure a beloved property into a cohesive and entertaining motion picture.
