I love Italian food.  But I must admit, I carefully choose which restos to go to as real or hardcore Italian dishes are always in friction with my taste buds, because they sometimes can go too sour or spicy for me.  Well, I can try it once or twice but for me to come back and crave for it is another story.  I usually like those with American or Filipino touch but if ever I'm really up for original Italian, I make sure it won't be too alien for me.   Forgive me but I can't let go the "Juan" in me =).

King Arthur.  This is one of the many literary masterpieces that my father introduced to me when I was young.  Indeed, I grew up with the story of King Arthur, whether it's an animation, a live action movie or a mini series in television.  And I guess I won't be able to forget my dad's legacy as King Arthur is really a timeless and favorite storyline not only for film makers but for us spectators too.

And a couple of days ago, I was able to have this chance to attend the exclusive bloggers screening of AXN Beyond's Camelot at My Cinema in Greenbelt 3.  My special thanks goes to Azrael Coladilla, AXN Beyond and Publicity Asia.

The candle I lit during Earth Hour 2011 in SM MOA

A few years back, I didn’t see the merit of turning off the lights for the Earth Hour celebration. I told myself, and those who listen to me =), how could an hour make a difference? And haven’t the Philippines been contributing to energy savings with all the brownouts, and blackouts, frequenting the country?

Well, I must admit, sometimes I could really be that "pilosopo" =). I never took the campaign seriously until issues on Climate Change (Al Gore's Face the Inconvenient Truth) arise. And it was even made real and local with what happened to our country during Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.

In today's fast-paced urban lifestyle, we tend to grab food that's readily available but not necessarily nutritious and healthy.  And many experts have pointed out the danger of the unhealthy food that we eat.  With that, many of us have tried many things that will let us take in the "healthy" stuff but as much as possible, not forego the food we fell in love with.

About 20 inaanak (Godchildren), and the commitment to give them gifts instead of money during Christmas... you could just imagine the effort I exert when the calendar hits December.  And it's always a conscious effort for me to buy and give them fun but safe and appealing but reasonably priced items.  And I guess, this is a yearly challenge for most people too (Well, I'm not complaining though as this is still a fun yuletide exercise hehe).

Well loved Pinoy fantasy characters Panday, Darna, Captain Barbell, Lastikman and Dyesebel have been ruling the Pinoy pop culture for decades already.  Well, I'm not complaining about it but don't you think that we need to enrich the collection already? =)  Anyway, they were unmatched for a long time (in terms of story, influence and impact)... until the arrival of the fantasy series craze in TV in early 2000 such as Mulawin, Super Inggo and the epic fantasy masterpiece Encantadia.
