Scrat’s pursuit of the cursed acorn continues in Ice Age: Collision Course (Opens July 6 in Cinemas)

In the latest epic family movie adventure “Ice Age: Collision Course” from the highly successful “Ice Age” franchise, audiences worldwide will be propelled to new environments  like the cosmos and a crystallized world known as Geotopia, with many of the characters beginning their own new journeys.


 Scrat is, of course, one character that never changes.  In “Ice Age: Collision Course” he continues his pursuit of the cursed acorn.  But this time Scrat’s quest is taking him where no Ice Age character has gone before—the cosmos—where the consequences of his antics are nothing short of “Scrat-tastrophic.”  Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe, where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age world.  To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, as they travel to exotic new lands and encounter a host of colorful new characters.

Make way for the herd of ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE movie

From Blue Sky  Studios and 20th Century Fox - “Ice Age: Collision Course,” the fifth big screen instalment of the colossal blockbuster cartoon franchise “Ice Age” that will take over theatres July 2016, announces the return of its previous cast and introduces new members as a cosmic Scratastrophe looms and endangers their world.


In the new film, the beloved herd from the Ice Age movies — including woolly mammoths Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah), saber-toothed tigers Diego (Denis Leary) and Shira (Jennifer Lopez), and lovable sloth Sid (John Leguizamo) — have to leave their homes to save themselves when cosmic events threaten their world. And one of the places they wander into is an exotic, fantastical locale where one of the new characters known as Shangri Llama (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is the spiritual leader of sorts.

Meet the Returning and All-New Characters of ICE AGE 4: CONTINENTAL DRIFT (Opens July 12)

In the 4th installment of the hit family movie franchise, Ice Age's Manny, Diego, and Sid-embark upon their greatest adventure after cataclysm sets an entire continent adrift in “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.” Separated from the rest of the herd, they use an iceberg as a makeshift ship, which launches them on an epic seafaring quest. Manny and the gang are challenged like never before to become heroes and do the impossible, as they encounter exotic sea creatures, explore a brave new world, and battle ruthless pirates. And Scrat's reunion with his cursed nut catapults him to places no prehistoric squirrel has gone before.

MANNY (Ray Romano) As the world shifts around him, so does Manny’s family. Manny’s tendency to be overprotective spurs a terrible argument between him and daughter Peaches - just before Scrat splits the world apart, casting him out to sea and separating him from his family and herd. Now he vows to do everything he can to get back to his family and make amends with his daughter.

Dance the Shuffle with Sid's Viral Video for ICE AGE 4: CONTINENTAL DRIFT

Teeming with boundless energy, catastrophic creativity and defying continental odds, Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo) is back with his best friends Manny the mammoth (Ray Romano) and Diego the tiger (Denis Leary) along with Scrat in the latest adventure for all in “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.”


While the earth is being subdivided into seven continents due to Scrat’s misadventures, Sid’s long-lost family suddenly appears. Sid is excited when his relatives arrive, seemingly happy to be reunited with him. But they leave just as quickly as they came, intentionally ditching his crotchety Granny (Wanda Sykes). Granny is inadvertently swept out to sea with the trio, making Sid’s job surviving the adventure that much harder when he must take care of her every need along the way.

The directors and creative talents behind the hugely popular Ice Age movies set the pack into the most exciting film in the franchise so far, “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift” where they face a perilous adventure on the high seas. This time, Manny, Sid and Diego face formidable foes: a crew of swashbuckling pirates. And one feisty but crochety old sloth: Sid’s own granny.


The drama begins when catastrophe strikes and the earth shifts. Finding themselves adrift, our three intrepid sub-zero heroes are out on the raging seas batting pirates.
